SocDem Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Caucus

The Network for Social Democracy Asia-Pacific aims to establish a social democratic alternative by expanding and deepening the discourse in Asia and the Pacific, developing forward-looking policies, and showcasing the best practices of social democratic parties, politicians, and movements.

As Social Democracy Asia-Pacific marks its 10th year, it acknowledges the impact of its initiatives in local governments and national parliaments, grassroots-based political organizations, social welfare policies, and human rights advocacy.

In April 2018, Social Democracy Asia-Pacific initiated a project to develop national social welfare policies in priority countries, paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable future.

The Regional Training on Promoting Inclusive Policy Making for Social Welfare will provide selected members with skills in inclusive policy formulation and convene the Social Democracy Asia-Pacific Parliamentarians Caucus to promote social welfare policies in the region.
